6/8/2023 0 Comments We re all wonders![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This book really is the perfect way to talk about empathy, kindness and being different and the fact that everyone is unique. ‘We’re All Wonders’ shows readers what it is like to live in Auggie’s world – a world in which he feels like he is any other ordinary kid doing ordinary things like playing with his dog, riding a bike, eating an ice-cream and playing ball, but he is not always seen that way because of the way he looks by the rest of the world. Younger readers can discover the ‘Wonder’ message by following Auggie and his dog Daisy on an adventure. In the picture book, ‘We’re All Wonders’ the beloved character Auggie features and most certainly will encourage children to accept and understand that they are all different in their own way. In the novel, ‘Wonder’ we are told the story about Auggie, who is different, and struggles to fit in. This picture book will certainly teach children empathy and would be great to use during PSHE lessons and circle time discussions. ‘We’re All Wonders’ is a fabulous picture book that should be placed in every Primary School book corner or library. ![]()

![]() ![]() The ancients did not see a difference between myth and reality, and eyewitness history did not exist it was all propaganda. For readers who believe that the Bible is the true word of God and its meaning must be taken literally, Aslan’s book will awaken doubt. As he described himself, the historic “Jesus… was a Jew, and nothing more.” He was concerned only with Israel and his fellow Jews. Jesus neither fit the paradigms nor fulfilled scriptural prophecies to meet the requirements of being a messiah. In fact, every word written about Jesus was written by people who never knew him in life-even though Paul claimed to know Jesus intimately, not as man, but as God. 70 and 120, and they certainly weren’t written by the men whose names are attached to them. The Gospels weren’t written during Jesus’ lifetime, but rather between A.D. After explaining the origins and evolution of Islam, the author now turns to Christianity and its unlikely beginnings. Aslan ( How to Win a Cosmic War: God, Globalization and the End of the War on Terror, 2009, etc.) has made the study of religion his life’s work, and it shows. In fact, most of the incidents in them are pure fiction. The Gospels are not historical documents, nor even eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ life. Jesus of Nazareth is not the same as Jesus Christ. ![]() A well-researched, readable biography of Jesus of Nazareth. ![]() 6/7/2023 0 Comments Frostbite by Adrienne Woods![]() The plot seemed a bit overly contrived at times but it's a fantasy world so why not.
