6/7/2023 0 Comments Frostbite by Adrienne WoodsThe plot seemed a bit overly contrived at times but it's a fantasy world so why not. I do like that some of the supporting characters got a bit more air time. Still it was fun when you get past the constant, "it's my fault" language. I wish the author had spent less time having Elena seek absolution from absolutely everyone and more time developing a streamlined story. If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?Ī little long winded with a great deal of narrative spent regretting the loss of others, missing those who have passed, self blame and brooding. I felt like I was listening to William Shatner a few too many times because of her cadence but otherwise, I thought she brought the characters to life and gave them each a personality rather well. I've listened to Erin perform through all three books available for audio. Have you listened to any of Erin Moon’s other performances before? How does this one compare? It's got qualities of magic, secret places, lost heirs and a need to fight off a great evil. There are similarities to Harry Potter, King Arthur, Narnia, etc. What other book might you compare Frostbite to and why? If you could sum up Frostbite in three words, what would they be?
